Motion Controls Are Here to Stay

A recent Nintendo Magazine interview with Eiji Aonuma reveals that any future installments of the Legend of Zelda Series will feature Motion Controls, like that found in Skyward Sword.  Miyamoto also stated back in September that going back to button controls will be difficult, saying,  “I honestly think we cannot go back to button controls now, so I think that these controls will be used in future Zelda titles, too.”

It’ll be interesting to see how this develops into  future Zelda Games and consoles – such as the Wii U. What are your thoughts on this? If you want to design the next cool video game design innovations, check out classes from accredited online colleges. Don’t forget to let us know by commenting!

I like how in ss it felt like i was actually interacting with weapons, so yea i would prefer more motion control in the future titles. seeing how only button controls might be for the 3ds zelda titles

I guess this means no more lefty Link. :(

Add a left-handed mode to future titles – or maybe as an update to Skyward Sword – so my left-handed cousin can play, and we have a deal.

just switch hands and hold the wiimote in the left and its basically the same thing

not really, its like if link was left-handed and you were playing with your right hand. It would feel weird

    I still like button controls

I am left handed, and I play left handed. It just takes a while to adjust and get used to seeing mirrored results on the screen. Although, I'd prefer to have a setting where the controls were for a left-handed link.

maybe they should put an option to choose between either motion controls for fans who prefer that way or buttons for fans who prefer playing with buttons (like me), also for motion controls they should make a left-handed option as well
