Hyrule Warriors Will Only Support Local Co-Op

It seems that we finally have official confirmation regarding Hyrule Warriors multi-player modes; and if the game would include online play. Since its reveal, sources have been conflicted, with some indicating an online feature would be available, and others denying this fact. At long last, and probably to the dismay of many, it seems to be confirmed that Hyrule Warriors will NOT include online co-op functionality.

Game descriptions for Hyrule Warriors in retail listings also seems to back this up, stating, “Two players can play local co-op, with one player joining with the Wii U GamePad controller and another with the Wii U Pro Controller or Wii Remote + Nunchuk controllers”

Perhaps more information will be revealed later today, during Nintendo’s planned Direct video featuring this title.

At this point there really is no excuse for games like this not to support online play. This is disappointing

I’m curious as of to the fact if only local co-op will be available. I would like to see some sort of vs mode in this game.
