Yuki

Age: 18

Race: Hylian

Allegiance: Kingdom of Hyrule

Bio:

After losing his parents in the Lost Woods, Yuki was found and adopted by the Koroks. He was only an infant when rescued, and thus had no knowledge of his given name. The Great Deku Tree sensed a gifted spirit within the child and named him, Yuki. Over the years, Yuki grew into a young adult among the Koroks, and learned much about the forest and its creatures. He soon discovered he had a talent for herbalism, and learned to craft medicine from the plethora of plants in the Lost Woods. The Deku Tree was Yuki’s only source of the land outside the Forest. He learned a great deal about Hyrule and its people, as well as proper edict when interacting with his own kind. However, such teaching meant Yuki would leave the Korok Forest in search for a proper home. Despite his fearfulness of venturing into the world alone, The Great Deku Tree told Yuki that he reminded him of an “Old Friend”. He clearly saw courage in Yuki’s heart, and held faith that he would lead a fulfilling life among his people.

Ever since Yuki left the Korok Forest, he struggled to cope with the loneliness he’d never felt during his time with the Koroks. He’s capable of expressing a desire to help others, as a way of building his identity among Hylians, but Yuki’s inner turmoil and isolation keeps him from being vulnerable when discussing anything regarding himself or his past. Yuki simply aids those who show him kindness, only to leave once the deed is done. This makes it difficult for him to make friends, so he travels all over the land offering his help with his medical prowess, and moves on to the next location after his tasks have been completed. Yuki slowly opened up after meeting a young woman during his next job. He had nursed her little brother back to health after a nasty fall. Staying true to his nature, Yuki avoided her, but she was persistent, and eventually got him talking. Yuki had soon made his first friend, and became more expressive as time moved on. He still committed to traveling across Hyrule, but he felt his purpose had become clearer, and had made new friends all over the land.

After turning eighteen, Yuki made a journey to visit the Koroks and Great Deku Tree. It was there when the Deku Tree presented Yuki a gauntlet with a blue shard in the center. The Tree told him it was an item also left behind by his parents, and informed him that it can manipulate Time itself. It was quite obvious Yuki did not understand why the Deku Tree gave it to him, but he made it his quest to discover its origins. After digging through the tomes of Hyila’s Grand Athenaeum, Yuki found that the shard contained similar properties to that of the fabled Timeshift Stones…
