Exciting news as a new Zelda game for the Nintendo 3DS has been announced!
Details of this new title were released during Nintendo’s latest Nintendo Direct broadcast. This game will be set in the same world as A Link to the Past, the SNES classic released in 1991. Furthermore, this game is not just a remake, it is a brand new outing for our favorite hero.
Hyrule will look and feel similar to the world in A Link to the Past, but the game will heavily rely on the console’s 3D screen to impact its gameplay. The world’s depth and height will greatly be effected by the 3D features. During a video presentation, Link was shown being thrown up into the air towards the gamer, to avoid obstacles.
Link was also shown with a new ability, sort of reminding me of Paper Mario, where he is able to transform into a 2D drawing form. While in this form the game will switch to a side view while Link walks along walls. Link is also able to slip through narrow paths and escape from a jail cell while in this form.
