After a few months of rather disappointing misinformation, fans have been eager for legitimate news regarding the upcoming Pokémon: Sun and Pokémon: Moon games. With little details released on the games after the special “Pokémon Direct,” Junichi Masuda recently posted his announcement through both his Twitter and personal blog. He added toward the end of the post, “Everyone… Sorry I made you wait!”
The presentation began revealing the male trainer, the professor, and a region undoubtedly based off of Hawaii. Fans should be satisfied to see that the starters for the official seventh generation of Pokémon have finally been released: Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio! The trailer also released the official box art for both Pokémon: Sun and Pokémon: Moon, sporting both lion and bat-inspired legendary Pokémon. For fans who didn’t already find this out through the Japanese trailer, character customization will also be available in these games. The official release date for Pokémon: Sun and Pokémon: Moon will be November 18th, 2016. You can watch this first announcement through the official Pokémon Channel YouTube channel.
