Majora’s Mask Comes to Life Through Iconic Short Film

On November 22nd, artist team Emberlab released their tribute to the colorful but dark game many Zelda fans love, Majora’s Mask, titled “Terrible Fate.” This short film depicts the beginning of the Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, featuring the nostalgic Happy Mask Salesman and Skull Kid brought to life.

The phenomenal music is covered by Theophany, who recently released the second disc of their “Time’s End” Majora’s Mask-inspired project. On top of this, Emberlab recently posted a “Behind the Scenes” video with details on where and how they created their passion piece: such as sculpting, texturing, modeling, and using Humbolt, California for their film location. If only this could be made into a full-length, animated movie. I think that’s what all fans want to see right now. I wrote about the teaser when it was released back in July, blown away with what little I saw at the time. Want to see more of Emberlab’s fantastic work? Head on over to their Facebook page for more videos and content.

What are your thoughts on this breathtaking masterpiece of a video? I’m still in awe and I’ve seen it about three times already. Let us know in the comments below!
