Prince Arion

Age: 24

Race: Gerudo

Allegiance: Kingdom of Hyrule

Bio:

Orphaned at birth and discovered by Impa in a merchant town on the outskirts of Gerudo Desert, Arion was adopted and crowned Prince by the King and Queen of Hyrule. Queen Colette was unsure at first due to being pregnant with Zelda, but King Siegfried immediately fell in love with the Gerudo infant and both decided to raise him as their own. Arion grew up in a nurturing and loving environment, but he wasn’t without feeling alone and out of place due to his heritage. Such harbored feelings of inequity were enough reason for him to maintain a stoic disposition and isolate himself from the world outside of Hyrule Castle. It was difficult for Arion to look up to his parents for support, despite their close relationship. However, he found comfort in Impa when she began mentoring him in the history of the Sheikah. Arion found something to relate with her, being someone whose heritage deemed her as an “outsider”, but was still accepted with open arms by the Hylians. Ultimately, Arion found acceptance by aiding the people of Hyrule and committed himself to performing good deeds.

Prince Arion is a steadfast and headstrong figure with a firm sense of duty and conviction to his countrymen. He is constantly involved with the citizens and maintains an awareness of the struggles of those outside the kingdom’s central cities. While he can be wild and overbearing at times, Arion values friendship highly, and deeply treasures the bonds of his friends and countrymen. Yet, the person he admires the most is his sister, Zelda. Arion looks up to how she carries herself while she struggles with the royal duties of a princess with ties to the Goddess. His loud, optimistic personality shakes her quiet, introverted exterior, but Zelda remains grateful for Arion’s support.

On the other hand, he shares a unique kinship with Link. They share a deep respect of the warrior’s ethical code of honor, and attribute such ethics by sparring with each other from dawn till dusk. It didn’t take much for them to become like brothers, and spend much of their time together training and adventuring across the country. They soon found themselves coming to the aid of towns in the Tabantha Frontier that were assaulted by members of the Yiga Clan. The attacks were becoming so frequent that both Link and Arion decided to investigate the cause and motives… and to find out what the Yiga are plotting…

Oh hi! I am Zach Wojtowicz, but of course you already knew that. I am a post-college student with a masters in card games... ok, a BA in Writing, but that is why I'm here! Aside from being an avid gamer, I compose music and write stories of fantasy and adventure. I have been playing the Legend of Zelda since childhood, and nothing has influenced my art more than Zelda. My only wish is to share my voice to the community of fans, both old and new, that the LoZ series has made possible and continues to grow.
