With number three, it is perfectly possible that Ganon stopped them leaving, and now he's dead they are free.

    • noahglaser

What about at the start of the game before Ganon had started to take over?

  • Wasn't it only theory that the Ruto were the Zora. >.>

      It was confirmed by Nintendo

    some ideas for these problems.

problem #2. the goddesses used the flood to block access to hyrule, so as to seal ganon. the zoras are aquatic, and so they would still have had access to that. the goddesses evolved them into the rito. or perhaps it was valoo, doesnt really matter. the point is that they were forced into a state of evolution becuase hyrule had to be sealed up. as for the fishmen. i think they might possibly be old soilders from hyrule. i mean, they talk alot about stopping evil and one of them tells the king of red lions that his duty is done or something. cant remember the exact quote. but thats what i think is going on there.

problem #3. oot takes place shortly after a civil war. so the world could still be dangerous after such a war, and so the deku tree might not let them out. not only that, but the deku tree had gohma inside him before oot begins. i think it can be assumed the the deku tree knows about ganondorf, and does not let his children leave the forest and out of his care. also, the exit of the kokiri village leads through the lost woods (just a bit of it but still…) and the lost woods can be a very dangerous place.

#5 "This game was rated E"
But OoT should have been rated T–anyone who's played through it and paid attention to some details will know this. Like the blood stains in the Bottom of the Well mini-dungeon (and dead hand). There are a few others that escape me at the moment, but they're there.

  • Sauron

This is like how people are still confused on how Geurdo reproduce…. when the game tells you how they find men and rape them.

    #1: Got me there.
#2: Got me there as well however…. the theory that Zora come out of the water onto land sounds JUST LIKE the current theory of evolution so…. idk.
#3: Go back, beat the Forest Temple, listen to the young tree talk. He flat out tells you the people of the forest can now leave any time.
#4: He isn't going to take a bow with him into Majora's Mask that he has yet to get. He got the bow and hookshot as an adult, while Majora's Mask he is a child.
#5: Magic. Is that so unreal in that world honestly?

    Just saying.

    • Sauron

I should also note that Zelda uses magic to change her outfit and look as well right in the game.

  • Jenasaur

one thing that bugged me in the zelda games was the end of windwaker. The king of red lions touches the triforce and can do whatever the hell he wants. He could just go boom no more gannon and hyrule is now saved and can be restored! Why on earth does he just destroy it after working so hard to fix it? It just makes no sense

    1. Ah, gameplay mechanics that don't make sense plot-wise.

Zelda games are made with gameplay in mind first, and story second. It's always been this way. How does Link carry a shit ton of items without bulging? Why doesn't he sink since he has the Iron Boots in his inventory even though he's not wearing them? The answer is, because it's a damn video game and wouldn't work you took everything literally.

    2. "Hey everyone, I have a girlfriend!!!!!!!!"

The entire point of flooding Hyrule was to seal it off. From everyone. An entire fucking race swimming around the ocean means it's not sealed off. It obviously wasn't natural evolution since they can't fly without magical help from a scale.

    3. Correct pronounciation: koh-KEER-ee

(Seriously, you own a Zelda site and you don't even know… jesus)

This one killed me because you can literally use simple deductive reasoning to figure it out. Their guardian said they would die if they left. They obviously didn't. The Deku Tree must have been lying then. Why would he lie to keep them in the forest? Maybe… because the outside world is dangerous as shit and they're naive children who can't defend themselves? OMGWTFBBQ

    4. See #1.

    5. In-game text states that the Kokiri tunic is one-size fits all.
