The first song you will learn in The Wind Waker is the Wind’s Requiem. Link will learn this song on Dragon Roost Island and as the name suggests, it allows him to control the winds. The Wind’s Requiem enables you to change the direction of the wind which is useful for sailing and various puzzles in the game. It should be noted that this song only works while Link is outside.

Ballad of Gales

The Ballad of Gales is the second song in the Wind Waker that deals with wind. After striking down Cyclos with your bow and arrows, he will teach you this song and enable you to use his cyclones to traverse the Great Sea. Upon playing the Ballad of Gales, Link can use the various cyclones to quickly travel across the sea.

Command Melody

This song, learned in the Tower of the Gods, enables Link to take control of a variety of objects throughout the game. The Command Melody is used primarily for controlling statues to solve puzzles throughout the game.
Earth God’s Lyric

The Earth God’s Lyric is an ancient song that the Sage of Earth will teach you. This song is used to open the pathway to the Earth Temple.

Wind God’s Aria

The Wind God’s Aria is a mysterious tune taught to Link by the Wind Sage. Like the previous song, it is used to open the door to a temple. Perfecting this song will open the way to the Wind Temple.
Song of Passing

The Song of Passing is taught to Link by the Elvis look-alike on Windfall Island. This song will enable you to change night into day and visa-versa.
