Discourse within the community anticipated Zelda to be playable in the second DLC pack for Breath of the Wild. However, the Nintendo of Europe official Twitter recently confirmed that players will be playing as Link, not Zelda, in the Champions’ Ballad.

The development footage posted on the Nintendo of Europe Twitter show Zelda and a couple of knights making their way down a snowy path, along with Zelda kneeling inside the Gerudo Town throne room. Details such as who is sitting in the Gerudo Town throne or whether the story will be set in the past or present have yet to be confirmed.

All we currently know is that the Champions’ Ballad will heavily focus on Zelda and the Champions: Mipha, Urbosa, Daruk, and Revali. This second DLC pack will release during the holiday season 2017. You can check out Nintendo of Europe’s tweet below.
