The title says it all, folks. The Nintendo of America Twitter page officially revealed their newest handheld system, the New Nintendo 2DS XL.

According to the trailer, the system has a (not so) “new, ergonomic folding design, XL screens, and a c-stick for enhanced controls” similar to the New Nintendo 3DS XL. It has built in amiibo functionality, faster processing power, and is basically the New 3DS XL minus the 3D part. Though most Nintendo handheld fans have already purchased the 3DS XL, or the New 3DS XL, this is a great system for those without it. Removing the 3D feature saves a considerable amount of money, especially since most people don’t use it.

The New Nintendo 2DS XL will be released on July 28th at a base retail price of $149.99. You can check out more details at the official trailer posted below.
