Hyrule Warriors Legends to Receive DLC this Year

Hyrule Warriors Legends, a Nintendo 3DS port of the Wii U game Hyrule Warriors, separates itself from the original version by adding a number of new playable characters and maps. In today’s Nintendo Direct, it was announced that the game will receive even more content through DLC. A season pass for four DLC packs can be purchased when Hyrule Warriors Legends launches on March 24. The content will be able over the course of 2016, and purchasing the season pass gives players an exclusive costume for Ganondorf, based on his appearance in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.

Purchase of a physical copy of the also comes with a download code for a Hyrule Warriors Nintendo 3DS theme. A transfer code included with the game also allows players to download Tetra, King Daphnes, Toon Link, Skull Kid, and Linkle, along with Ganondorf’s Trident, to the Wii U version of the game. Pre-orders at GameStop include an artbook for Hyrule Warriors Legends.

Finally, Medli from The Wind Waker will be available for free on both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game when the first DLC pack for Hyrule Warriors Legends launches.
