I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Nintendo 64 controller so shiny… And I’m honestly mesmerized. This controller is professionally painted by James Harvard at Air Effex, an Etsy store residing in Austin, Texas.
The controller is a deep green color with a black fade around its curves. Around the start button is a hand-painted, gold Hylian Crest, the same one that appears on many Hylian Shields. According to the item’s description, the controller plug is also painted gold to match the color scheme. On top of being custom painted, the controller’s joystick is replaced for a brand new one, preventing any future issues. The paint is then protected with an automotive grade clear coat after finishing touches are made.
According to its Etsy listing, if you’re not a fan of its color scheme, you’re able to pick a color combination of your choosing. Air Effex’s neat-looking controller is currently available for $79.95 and can be found here.
