For years gamers have longed to see Nintendo’s hit series, The Legend of Zelda, come to the big screen, but sadly this notion has repeatedly been shot down. After the disaster of the Super Mario Bros. movie, Nintendo has been hesitant to let any of their other franchises be developed on film.
In 2007, Imagi Studios, the animation company that produced the TMNT and Astro Boy films, produced a concept reel for Nintendo. The hope was that Nintendo would be impressed with what they could do with the series and green-light such a project. Obviously Nintendo did not take the bait, as it has been 6 years, and there is still no Zelda movie. However, their pitch has finally found its way online which you can view here.
