Female Character Hinted in Latest Breath of the Wild Trailer

At the Game Awards, Nintendo released a new trailer for the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which is releasing in spring of 2017 for the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo Switch. This trailer features two separate scenes, where female characters (in different outfits), are teased. The first one is revealed in the trailer at 0:51 while the second at 1:05.

Some fans theorize that these characters feature Zelda and Impa, while others believe they are both Zelda wearing different attire. Some even claim that it hints a “girl Link,” or a female character whose garb is strikingly similar to Link’s, but Eiji Aonuma stated back in June that you can only play as a male character, so whoever she is (or whoever they are) will not be playable.

Either way, the trailers are hype-inducing; I cannot get enough of the Breath of the Wild trailers and cannot wait to see more of what’s in store for us.

What are your thoughts on the new trailer? Who do you think this character is? Or who do you think these characters are? Let us know in the comments below.
