With what the Breath of the Wild trailers have shown us so far, it is unclear what the Master Sword’s purpose is in the game. All we have seen up-to-date is that it is rusted. It has clearly been unused for quite some time. No matter the reason, Zelda fans are quick to react to trailers, bringing props and cosplay to life when they are revealed. This item is no exception.
Get a look at this Master Sword replica built by Erin Carpenter, owner of Sparqy’s Studio. A sword like this could complete a Breath of the Wild cosplay or make fantastic decor. It is beautifully crafted.
According to the listing, this prop sword is cast as one piece from epoxy resin and fiberglass. “The sword is hand painted with metallic blue, silver, and gold paint and is given a faux rust finish. The grip is wrapped in a ‘weathered’ faux suede cloth. The edges of the gold jewel on the hilt and the hand guard have Hylian runes carved into them. The Triforce is etched into the blade.”
It is 40 inches long, with the blade being 30 inches. The hilt measures 8.75 inches and it weights around 1.5 lbs. Because no metal is built into the prop, it is convention friendly and not considered a weapon. This item is made to order and can currently be shipped to the United States and Canada.
