A Link to the Past Items

Lantern
Where to Find: Link’s House/Hyrule Castle
How to Get: When you start the game, there is a chest at the bottom right part of the house. Open it to get the Lantern. If you don’t get the Lantern at that point, it is also in Hyrule Castle in the room after you talk to your uncle.

Sword
Where to Find: Hyrule Castle, Lost Woods, Blacksmith Brothers, Pyramid of Power
How to Get:
1. Talk to your uncle when you first get into Hyrule Castle.
2. After getting all the Pendants, Find the Sacred Grove to get the Master Sword.
3. After reuniting the Blacksmiths, ask them to temper your sword. Now go into the Dark World and then go back into the Light World. Talk to them again and you’ll get the Tempered Sword.
4. After you beat Misery Mire, go to where Link’s house would be in the Dark World. Buy the big bomb and make your way to the Pyramid of Power. Place the bomb next to the crack in the Pyramid. alk in and throw your Tempered Sword into the fountain. Answer the Fairie truthfully and she’ll give you the last sword.

Shield (Blue / Red / Mirror)
Where to Find: Hyrule Castle, Waterfall, Turtle Rock
How to Get:
1. Talk to your uncle when you first get into Hyrule Castle.
2. After you get the Flippers and you exit Zora River, you’ll see a waterfall. Swim into it and throw your Shield into the fountain. A fairie will appear and ask you if you dropped it. Say yes and she’ll reward your honesty with the Red Shield.
3. While you make your way through Turtle Rock, You’ll sooner or later come across the big chest. The Mirror Shield is in that chest.

Mail (Green / Blue / Red)
Where to Find: Start of Game, Ice Palace, Ganon’s Tower
How to Get:
1. You initially start the game with the Green Mail.
2. While you make your way through the Ice Palace, You’ll sooner or later come across the big chest. The Blue Mail is in that chest.
3. While you make your way through Ganon’s Tower, You’ll sooner or later come across the big chest. The Red Mail is in that chest.

Boomerang / Magical Boomerang (Blue / Red)
Where to Find: Hyrule Castle, Waterfall
How to Get:
1.On your way to rescure Zelda, You’ll come to a room that locks behind you. The room contains a blue guard and a chest in the center of the room. The Blue Boomerang is in the chest.
2. After you get the Flippers and you exit Zora River, you’ll see a waterfall. Swim into it and throw your boomerang into the fountain. A fairie will appear and ask you if you dropped it. Say yes and she’ll reward your honesty with the Magical Boomerang.

Magic Mushroom
Where to Find: Lost Woods
How to Get: In the lost woods, you’ll notice a tree stump with a door in it. If you walk north-west from there, you’ll find the mushroom behind some bushes.

Magic Powder
Where to Find: Syrup’s Hut
How to Get: Give Syrup the Magic Mushroom and over time, she’ll finish the Powder. Walk in and take the Magic Powder from Maple’s side.

Bombs
Where to Find: Kakariko Village
How to Get: Jump of the ledge into the hole at the top left part of the screen. You’ll appear near a chest that contains the bombs. You can also get them from almost anywhere else but this is the quickest way you can get them after you rescue Princess Zelda.

Bug-Catching Net
Where to Find: Kakariko Village
How to Get: In Kakariko Village, go into the house with the kid that is laying in bed. Walk up to him and he’ll give you the Bug-Catching Net since he isn’t able to go outside anymore.

Ice Rod
Where to Find: Hyrule Field
How to Get: In the Light World from the Watergate Temple, walk right and follow the path around Lake Hylia. You’ll come across a wall with a hole in it. Notice to the left of the hole, there is a rock jetting out of the wall. Bomb it and walk in. The Ice Rod is in the chest on the pedestal.

Bow and Arrows
Where to Find: Eastern Palace
How to Get: After obtaining the big key, the big chest is in the main room of the dungeon. Arrows can be found almost anywhere in Hyrule and The Dark World.

Pegasus Boots
Where to Find: Outside Eastern Palace
How to Get: After beating the Eastern Palace, from the entrance, go left until you see a little house. Inside is Sahasrahla. Talk to him and he’ll give you the boots.

Book of Mudora
Where to Find: Kakariko Library
How to Get: If you walk out of Kakariko Village to the south, you’ll see a house on a ledge. When you walk in, there will be a book on top of a book shelf. Ram into it with the Pegasus Boots to get it.

Bottles:
Where to Find: Karkariko Village, Under A Bridge, The Locked Chest
How to Get:
1. Buy from the merchant in Kakariko Village
2. Walk into the house long house from the top part of it. You’ll enter a hidden door. The bottel is in the chest.
3. When you get the flippers from King Zora, go to Lake Hylia and swim upwards into the river. Keep following the river and swim under the bridge.There is a guy sleeping there. Talk to him to get the third bottle.
4. When you get the Titan’s Mitt, help the Blacksmith Brothers by reuniting them. Now go to the Blacksmith’s house in the Dark World. There will be a chest. Grab it and use your mirror. Now go to the entrance of the desert. You’ll find a man there that says he used to be a thief and if you will keep it a secret, he’ll open the chest for you.

Power Glove / Titan’s Mitt
Where to Find: Desert Palace, Theives’ Hideout
How to Get:
1. After obtaining the big key in the Desert Palace, walk down and go out the room. Now go out the next room to the left. Head upwards into the next room. Walk left into the long hallway. Dash left through the hallway to the next room and walk into the door to the left. In this room, pick up the pots to reveal a switch. Step on it to open the room containing the Power Glove.
2. Starting from the room with the conveyor belts and the hole in the center of the floor, go down the stairs into the next room. Pick up the large block here and go down. In this room, walk into the door to the left. Now walk past the converyor belt here and unlock the door on the other side. Equip your hammer and us it on the jumping stopper things to get to the chest.

Flippers
Where to Find: King Zora
How to Get: Talk to King Zora in the Zora River and he’ll sell them to you for 500 Rupees.

Magic Mirror
Where to Find: Old Man on Death Mountain
How to Get: After you escort the old man through the dark cave in the mountain, he’ll give you the Magic Mirror

Moon Pearl
Where to Find: Tower of Hera
How to Get: From the entrance of the floor before the boss room, step on the star switch to change where the holes in the floor are. Now walk to the top-most hole that isn’t touching the wall. Fall into it from the top and when you land, walk up to get the Moon Pearl

Magic Hammer
Where to Find: Palace of Darkness
How to Get: When you make it past the floor that starts to fall over time, go into the locked door to the left. Make your way through the maze and keep an eye out for a crack in the wall to the right of the screen. Bomb the crack and walk through the new path to get the Magic Hammer.

Hookshot
Where to Find: Watergate Dungeon
How to Get: If you’ve played through this dungeon, I’m sure you’ve seen the big chest in that one room with all the bad guys that come out the walls. It’s really hard to miss. When you get the big key, head back to this room to get your Hookshot from the chest.

Shovel
Where to Find: Haunted Grove
How to Get: When you talk to the flute kid in the dark world, he’ll give you the Shovel.

Flute
Where to Find: Haunted Grove
How to Get: After you get the Shovel, Go into the Light World and dig in the flowers near the top left of the trees.

Magic Cape
Where to Find: The Graveyard
How to Get: In the Dark World Graveyard, get near the mountain wall at the top of the screen. Use your Mirror and if you were in the right spot, you’ll be on a ledge with a cave. Walk in the cave to claim the Magic Cape

Fire Rod
Where to Find: Skull Dungeon
How to Get: After getting the big key, fall into the hole in the middle of the bushes, outside of the dungeon. You’ll land in the middle of some skulls. Pick one up and step on the first two sets of star switches. Now head back up to the skulls and look at the left wall. Notice the crack??? Bomb it and head into the next room. Pull the switch on the wall to make the wall open up. The chest is through the opened wall.

The Medallions
Where to Find: Death Mountain, The Desert, Near Zora River in the Dark World
How to Get:
1. To the left of the Tower of Hera, there is a bridge. Go across it and use the book of Mudora on the green stone. You’ll recieve the Ether Medallion
2. From the entrace to the Watergate Dungeon in the Dark world, Walk left like you’re about to enter the desert. Notice the dead end has purple stakes sticking out of the ground. Get behind them and use the Mirror. Now go left to the next screen and use the Book of Mudora on green stone to get the Bombos Medallion
3. In the Dark World, head towards the Waterfall where you threw your boomerang and shield in the fountain. Once there, notice the Stumps sticking out of the water in the form of a circle. Throw anything into it and a fish will give you the Quake Medallion.

Cane of Somaria
Where to Find: Misery Mire
How to Get: While you make your way through Misery Mire, you’ll sooner or later come across the big chest. The Cane of Somaria is in that chest.

Cane of Byrna
Where to Find: Death Mountain
How to Get: Step into the teleporter thing on top of Death Mountain, that takes you into the Dark World. Now walk down from there and jump off the edge of the mountain. You should land on a ledge. If not, climb back up and try again. On the ledge, there is a cave. Enter the cave and use the Magic Hammer to get past the stopper things. Either walk across the spike floor without the cape or use the cape to get across. The cane is on the other side of the spike floor.
